Last night was a successful one for The Twilight Saga.

The latest film pulled in over $30 million in midnight ticket sales!

Entertainment Weekly reports:

Last night, The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1 grossed a staggering $30.3 million from Twihard-diehard midnight showings in 3,521 theaters, proving that America’s love affair with Bella, Edward, and Jacob is alive (or dead, or undead — I’m really not sure) and well.

The penultimate Twilight film began its run in line with The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, which earned just over $30 million (the exact figure is unknown) at midnight screenings in June 2010. For reference, New Moon pulled in $26.3 million at midnight in 2009.

Estimates have the film making between $130 – $150 million over the weekend.
