Before the release of The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1, we had heard that the infamous dog bowl scene found in Stephenie Meyer’s book was shot. But Nikki Reed is now pondering where it went.

“We shot the dog bowl scene,” confirmed Reed to MTV in a new interview. “In fact we shot it enough times for my head to hurt because I was smacked in the head with various items that I’m sure at some point will be CGI’d into dog bowls – and one time it was a rubber dog bowl, and Taylor’s pretty strong.”

Because of all the pain she endured, she “needed that scene to end up somewhere. I never know what’s going to end up in there.”

For fans who do want it, she offers a glimpse of hope. “Here’s what I do know. Things that are not in the movie end up in the special feature section. So that’s good.”

You can watch the interview with Reed, who plays Rosalie Hale in the Twilight series, below. We know that the dog bowl scene was not included on the Breaking Dawn – Part 1 DVD/Blu-ray, so could it perhaps come in a future box set of the films with a slew of deleted scenes?

Breaking Dawn – Part 2, the final film in the Saga, will hit theaters November 16. We learned late last week that Reed will sing on the upcoming soundtrack with her husband Paul McDonald. Thanks to The Lexicon for the tip.

Do you think the Breaking Dawn dog bowl scene will ever see the light of day?
