Better Call Saul is set to premiere in 2014, and the show will stream on Netflix immediately after it airs on AMC.

Those in Europe and Latin America will be able to watch new episodes of Better Call Saul “shortly” after they air in the United States. The deal is similar to one made for Breaking Bad‘s final eight episodes for Europeans.

In addition, we learned today that the show is set to premiere and finish before 2014. This suggests that the show will run in the summer like Breaking Bad did.

The first synopsis for the show confirms that it will be a prequel. Better Call Saul “tells the story of mall-based super lawyer Saul Goodman in the years before he became Walter White’s attorney. From parking tickets to mass murder, from slip-and-fall to bond fraud, Saul handles it all.”

A comment from a Netflix chief in the press release says the spinoff will “continue [Breaking Bad’s] tradition of powerful storytelling.” We hope so!

By making it a prequel, the show will be able to bring back popular characters from the past like Gus, Mike, and Walter White himself. The meth cook probably would only be able to make a cameo since he never met Saul prior to Breaking Bad, but people like Gus and Mike could potentially have larger roles.

Speaking of “larger,” could Huell be making his way back?

Hypable intends to cover Better Call Saul and will continue to share updates as they’re announced.

Will you give the ‘Breaking Bad’ spinoff a try?
