Lead Breaking Bad stars Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul decided to read the final Breaking Bad script together over beers, and video of the occassion is now online.

The reading of the Breaking Bad series finale script will be a part of the complete box set hitting store shelves later this year. The idea to read the script alone together was conceived by Cranston as explained in the video below.

The two stars are visibly saddened to have reached the point of having to read the final script for season 5, episode 16 titled “Felina.” Cranston notes that they are reading the script in March 2013, and the two are having a beer together as they read it. Paul seems to be even more shaken up about the end.

The documentary on the box set will show much more of the script read than what can be seen in the preview above. We can’t wait for this special feature.

In addition to the documentary, the Breaking Bad complete box set comes with additional features like an alternate series ending, all five seasons on DVD/Blu-ray, and more behind the scenes looks. Everything is housed in a canister like the ones Walt used to bury his money. It’ll be available for purchase November 26.

Breaking Bad‘s series finale aired this past Sunday to record ratings. The episode’s 10.3 million viewers blew away any and all of the previous records set by the show. The second half of season five (otherwise known as “the final eight episodes”) had been surging in the ratings over the past few weeks as we inched closer to the end and very positive word of mouth spread.
