We’re going to have to wait a little longer than planned for the final eight episodes of Breaking Bad season 5, otherwise known as Breaking Bad season 6.

Despite comments from Breaking Bad star Aaron Paul that the Breaking Bad premiere date was set for July 14th, AMC announced today that Breaking Bad season 6’s air date is now August 11th.

In addition, the show will gain a live post-analysis talk show called Talking Bad. The show will be similar to The Talking Dead, which is The Walking Dead’s post-analysis talk show. There’s no word yet on who will host the talk show, but we know it will be a 30-minute program and air at 11 PM ET the night of new episodes.

Breaking Bad season 6 premieres Sunday, August 11th at 9 PM ET/PT on AMC.

Though these are the final eight episodes, this may not be the end of the Breaking Bad franchise afterall. AMC and creator Vince Gilligan are reportedly planning a Breaking Bad spin off focusing on Saul Goodman, the goofy lawyer who’s often the comic relief on the show.

The Breaking Bad season 5 finale was the most-watched episode to date, garnering 2.9 million viewers.

We’re a bit disappointed that we have to wait a bit longer for the show, but on the other hand this will give the show an opportunity to make a big splash at Comic-Con San Diego ahead of the premiere.
