In a head’s up primarily to those who DVR Breaking Bad, series producer Peter Gould warns that the final two episodes are “extra long.”

The tidbit came when a follower of Gould’s asked if the final episode would be longer than an hour:

In a separate tweet he added, “If you add 15 minutes to your DVR that should do the trick.” This should put each of the final two episodes at about 60 minutes of content without commercials compared to the standard 45 minutes.

UPDATE: In yet another tweet, Gould confirmed the exact time of the final two episodes…

Viewers of Breaking Bad’s final eight episodes may’ve already noticed that several of the episodes have stretched past 10:00 p.m. but only by a couple minutes. It’s nice to see that AMC allowed this to happen rather than forcing the show to wrap at the top of the hour.

Breaking Bad season 5, episode 15 “Granite State” airs Sunday, September 22 at 9 p.m. eastern/pacific on AMC. The final episode (season 5, episode 16) titled “Felina” premieres Sunday, September 29.

Last Sunday’s episode was arguably the most well-received episode in the series’ history. It went on to receive a perfect 10/10 rating on IMDb from viewers, making it the only show to ever receive that distinct honor. The episode also scored series-high ratings.
