In the world of Twitter, popular news can be counted by how many times it gets retweeted.

Ben Savage’s announcement that he had signed on to the Boy Meets World spin off Girl Meets World is one of the most retweeted in the social network site’s history.

At the time of this writing, the following tweet has been retweeted 114,000 times. That makes it the third most retweeted message on Twitter ever:

The tweet also scored 44,000 favorites to date.

Savage hadn’t been the first one to reveal that Girl Meets World was in the works, but it was the first official statement from a cast member noting that the show was happening. The show is currently casting Cory and Topanga’s teen daughter Riley.
