Bones enters the world of reality television once again with Monday’s episode “The Maiden in the Mushrooms” as seen from the synopsis and stills recently released.

The Fox drama has delved into television previously this season when Booth (David Boreanaz) and Brennan (Emily Deschanel) went undercover as Buck and Wanda Moosejaw on the dancing show Dance to the Top, a fictional spin on Dancing with the Stars in “The Diamond in the Rough.” It does not appear that the couple will go undercover on the Judge Judy-type show in “The Maiden in the Mushrooms,” as in the stills they flash their badges.

The synopsis also indicates that the rivalry between the squints, Hodgins (T.J. Thyne) and Finn (Luke Kleintank), will heat up with science being used for food discovery. “The Jeffersonian team investigates the murder of a TV producer. Meanwhile, Brennan has trouble accepting the fact that Christine might be an ‘average’ child, when her daughter gets accused of biting another classmate. Then, Hodgins uses all of his tools at the Jeffersonian to chemically recreate Finn’s special hot sauce.”

Both the synopsis and the TV Line clip point to parenting worries that Brennan and Booth will experience. Brennan worries that Christine is not up to her genius level as she bit another child at daycare.

Bones airs Mondays at 8 p.m. EST on Fox.
