Bones has released a promo and new spoilers for its dancing episode, “The Doll in the Derby,” which airs when the series returns on January 14.

The episode seems to return to the lighthearted Bones feeling after the more serious episodes of “The Patriot in Purgatory” and “The Ghost in the Machine,” which were two of the show’s best episodes. As previously mentioned by Hypable, “The Doll in the Derby” features Booth (David Boreanaz) and Brennan (Emily Deschanel) going undercover as dancers in a dance competition and will feature So You Think You Can Dance judge Mary Murphy and season 9 winners Eliana Girard and Chehon Wespi-Tschopp.

Viewers can expect to see further developments in Booth and Brennan’s relationship during the rest of Bones‘ season as well as a continuation of Angela’s (Michaela Conlin) journey. According to TV Guide, Booth will reveal a large secret during the dance episode and in a later episode will discuss funerals and the after-life with Brennan. Angela will consider changing her career and will also be affected by the return of Bones’ big bad Pelant (Andrew Leeds).

A new squintern will appear and add to the Jeffersonian team’s quirkiness. Here at Hypable, we’re hoping for another woman squintern as currently there is one female squintern Daisy (Carla Gallo) and five male squinterns. Both Brennan’s mother, played by Brooke Langton, and Booth’s mother (yet to be casted) will appear this season.

Bones airs on Mondays at 8 p.m. EST on Fox Broadcasting.
