Bohemian Rhapsody producer Graham King isn’t getting out of the rockstar biopic game anytime soon, as he’s working on a Bee Gees movie.

Bohemian Rhapsody might not have been the well-received film icon everyone hoped it was, but it still pulled in big bucks and big award noms. So producer Graham King is getting back on the biopic saddle and is getting ready to tell the world the story behind the iconic trio, the Bee Gees. And he’s working with a pretty impressive producing team.

As Deadline reports, King is joining Paramount to bring the story of the band to life. King is also working with the production company Sister, made by Chernobyl producer Jane Featherstone, Elisabeth Murdoch, and Stacey Snider.

Obviously, things are still in very early days, so there aren’t any casting announcements yet. However, this movie will provide the chance to bring the story of the Bee Gees to a whole new generation.

While most might know Barry, Robin, and Maurice Gibb’s band best for their hit song “Stayin’ Alive” or even for the iconic recurring SNL skit starring Jimmy Fallon and Justin Timberlake, “The Barry Gibb Talk Show,” the Bee Gees have been making music together since the 50s. However, “Stayin’ Alive” and their work on the Saturday Night Fever soundtrack basically made them staples of the disco era.

And while Bohemian Rhapsody largely disappointed fans in its treatment of Freddy Mercury’s life and the important social issues of homosexuality and the AIDS crisis as well as just the basic truth factor behind the film’s narrative, it still performed well and earned an impressive five Oscar noms. Rami Malek even won an Oscar for his portrayal of Freddie Mercury. Meanwhile Paramount, for its part, earned incredibly high praise for its Elton John biopic Rocketman from both fans and Sir Elton John himself.

So while Bohemian Rhapsody was far from perfect, it does seem like now is the time for rockstar biopics. And really, what can be more fun than a story about disco? And with King teaming with Paramount, hopefully the best pieces of Bohemian Rhapsody and the best pieces of Rocketman will come together to make this Bee Gees tale a fascinating journey to watch.

We’ll keep you posted as more news breaks on this movie. Until then, we’ll be getting our Bee Gees fix by streaming their music and watching Saturday Night Fever on repeat.
