Danny Tanner is back! Bob Saget has officially signed on for the Full House reunion series Fuller House.

Netflix is staging a Full House reunion awkwardly titled Fuller House. (Sorry, Netflix, but we’ll never be on board with that name.)

Centering on D.J. Tanner (Candace Cameron Bure), her best friend Kimmy (Andrea Barber) and her little sister Stephanie (Jodie Sweetin), Fuller House gender-swaps the Full House premise, showing three single ladies living together and raising their various children.

A lot of original Full House cast members have already signed on to appear (either as guest stars or recurring characters) in the 13-episode series, and now John Stamos (Uncle Jesse) has announced the final, and arguably most important, returning cast member:

That’s right, Danny Tanner himself is back to impart some wisdom to his now grown-up daughters!

Of course, as we learned earlier this week, the youngest Tanner girl won’t be making an appearance on Fuller House.

John Stamos expressed great regret when he broke the news that neither Mary-Kate nor Ashley Olsen would be reprising their joint role of Michelle Tanner (and we guess no one thought to ask Elizabeth, who, let’s face it, could totally pull it off).

But we’ve got a feeling the cast will do just fine without them. If all else fails…
