Bloomsbury has announced that they will be re-releasing the Harry Potter series’ children’s editions this September.

The line of Harry Potter books has been refreshed “inside out” for the latest print run. The covers are designed by Jonny Duddle who was selected by Bloomsbury and J.K. Rowling.

Said Duddle, “I’m hugely excited to work my way through the wonderful books. I couldn’t have asked for more enjoyable subject matter. It’s exciting, daunting and I feel the weight of responsibility, and I’m just hoping that my illustrations faithfully reflect the characters and world created by J.K. Rowling.” The artist will design front, back, and spine artwork for each book.

In the back of the book readers will find an expanded biography on author J.K. Rowling as well as some “highlights” from Pottermore.

Bloomsbury says that “the editions will also be reset to create a child-friendly reading experience for a new generation of readers.” At this time, it’s not clear what kind of reset is happening. Larger text? Chapter art? Time will tell.

These new Harry Potter children’s editions are not to be confused with Bloomsbury’s fully-illustrated version of the series debuting in 2015. The illustrated series was announced in December. There are plans to publish these outside of the U.K., though specifics have not been announced yet.

The Harry Potter books have seen numerous redesigns over the past few years as publishers look to appease new generations of readers who haven’t read Rowling’s seven-part series. Last year, United States publisher Scholastic re-released the paperbacks with new covers.

Bloomsbury says to expect “more exciting Harry Potter plans” during the London Book Fair in April.
