Black Widow dropped a special look trailer that brings Natasha’s family back together as she confronts the darker parts of her ledger.

It’s been a long time coming, but the Black Widow solo film is finally here.

The first film in Phase Four of the Marvel Cinematic Universe takes us back before the events of Endgame — which, as fans will remember, was the end of Natasha Romanoff.

Taking place in the time between 2016’s Captain America: Civil War and 2018’s Avengers: Infinity War, Black Widow is our first (and likely only) solo look at the story of Natasha Romanoff and provides the much-needed and long-asked for backstory for the character, who has been part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe since 2010’s Iron Man 2.

The trailer offers us another glimpse at all the Black Widow goodness we’ll be getting with the movie, including meeting Natasha’s family, a lot of women kicking lots of ass, and the introduction of a formidable enemy in the MCU pantheon.

Check out the special look trailer and the official synopsis below!

Natasha Romanoff confronts the darker parts of her ledger when a dangerous conspiracy with ties to her past arises. Pursued by a force that will stop at nothing to bring her down, Natasha must deal with her history as a spy and the broken relationships left in her wake long before she became an Avenger.

The trailer gives more context to what we saw in the first trailer, providing more screen time for Natasha’s family, and introducing Taskmaster (or what we can assume is Taskmaster), the villain who makes an appearance at the end. Most notably, we get to see more of Yelena Belova in action, who in Marvel Comics canon becomes the second Black Widow.

Black Widow stars Scarlett Johansson as Natasha/Black Widow, Little Women and Midsommar actress extraordinaire Florence Pugh as Yelena, Stranger Things bae David Harbour as Alexei aka The Red Guardian, and Academy award-winning actress Rachel Weisz as Melina.

Black Widow hits U.S theaters on May 1, 2020.
