The first trailer for Marvel’s Black Panther is here and there’s no denying that it’s undeniably epic!

Captain America: Civil War might have featured more superheroes than we knew what to do with, but there’s no denying Chadwick Boseman’s Black Panther stole the show. Now, Marvel fans who’ve been itching to see Boseman take center stage as T’Challa can get a taste of what’s to come when Black Panther hits theaters.

The first trailer for the highly anticipated Marvel flick offers viewers a crash course on T’Challa’s home nation of Wakanda– the isolated, technologically advanced African nation he intends to rule over now that his father, the King of Wakanda, has passed on.

It’s clear that not everyone is too thrilled about T’Challa trying to take his rightful place on the throne, however.

“You are a good man with a good heart,” utters a mysterious voice at one point in the trailer. “And it’s hard for a good man to be a king.”

In addition to a trailer, Marvel also revealed a new teaser poster on Friday morning, which features T’Challa looking incredibly powerful as he sits on the throne.

Directed by Ryan Coogler, Black Panther also stars Michael B. Jordan, Lupita Nyong’o, Danai Gurira, Martin Freeman, Daniel Kaluuya, Letitia Wright, Winston Duke, Angela Bassett, Forest Whitaker, and Andy Serkis.

Black Panther hits theaters on February 16, 2018.
