Black Panther continues to dominate at the box office. As of writing, it has become the top grossing Marvel movie, ever.

There’s no slowing down the King. T’Challa’s solo movie has now beaten out The Avengers for the title of highest grossing Marvel movie.

The Avengers grossed $623.3 million domestically when it premiered in 2012. Now, according to Deadline, Black Panther has surpassed that total with a staggering $630.9 million.

Heading into its sixth weekend, it is sitting in second only to the recently released Pacific Rim Uprising. The three-day estimates for the John Boyega helmed Pacific Rim sequel would see the newcomer take the number one spot with $23.1 million to Black Panther’s $17 million.

The box office projection would also see Black Panther top the highest grossing title of 2017, Star Wars: The Last Jedi, which ended its run at $619.8 million.

Currently, Infinity War appears to be the only potential challenger to the Black Panther juggernaut. Its advance ticket sales set a new record for Fandango. But it remains to be seen whether the Avengers’ showdown with Thanos will have the same staying power.
