Charlie Brooker’s amazing, mind-bending anthology series Black Mirror could be picked up by Netflix for a third season!

Originally on Channel 4, Black Mirror is a British anthology series, comprising of two seasons with three episodes each (and a special). The first season aired in 2011 with the second in 2013, and fans have been eagerly awaiting updates about the show’s future.

Now it seems we will be getting a season 3 after all, as Netflix is in negotiations with Charlie Brooker to produce brand new episodes!

Radio Times reports that Netflix is working to enter a partnership with creator Charlie Brooker and his production house, and that Booker himself is currently writing the “multiple new episodes” that’ll be distributed by the streaming giant.

With new episode of Black Mirror (hopefully) coming out, this is as good of a time as any to tell you: If you haven’t yet watched Black Mirror yet, watch it right now. The two first seasons are already on Netflix, so what are you waiting for?!

Each episode follows a new group of people, usually led by an iconic actor (guest stars have included Jon Hamm, Rory Kinnear, Hayley Atwell, Jessica Brown Findlay and Domhnall Gleeson), as they struggle to cope with some imagined, horrific digital development in an unspecified future.

The sci-fi series explores our fears of technology by tackling hot-button issues like artificial intelligence, Hunger Games-style reality shows, and the sharing of private information.

Black Mirror is entertaining, innovative, uncomfortable and thought-provoking, and we’re so happy that Netflix has decided to pick up the mantle.

We can’t wait to see what new horrors Brooker will put his characters through — and which big-name actors Netflix can attract for season 3, if this deal goes through!
