Ruby has a new man in her life, and it’s shaking up the family dynamic on Black-ish 2×09 “Old Digger.”
Dre and Pops might not always see eye to eye, but when it comes to Ruby’s new boyfriend they definitely agree. Neither one of them wants to be replaced by the new guy, Dre wants all of Ruby’s attention, and Pops wants the kids attention. Either way they want him gone, and our sneak peek shows how Pops plans to do it.
Dre thinks that the best way to get rid of Ruby’s new man is to let Pops destroy him. Instead of trying to scare him or sabotage the relationship by revealing details of their marriage, Pops thinks he can deal with Ruby head on. Dre seems a bit worried with this plan so we’ll have to wait and see if he goes along with it!

When Ruby invites Dre and Bow to meet the new man in her life, Dre immediately goes on the defensive and finds any reason to dislike him. Once Pops learns that Ruby’s suitor is the real deal, he comes up with a plan to distract her. Meanwhile, Junior meets a girl on a dating site, and Zoey, Jack and Diane convince him he’s being scammed, so they devise a plan to meet ‘the girl’ in person.”
