Birds of Prey beat out the competition at the box office this weekend, but it earned the least of its DCEU counterparts.

Birds of Prey earned a meager $33 million at the domestic box office in its opening weekend according to Box Office Mojo, which was enough to win the battle, but too little to even put it in the running for the war. The Harley Quinn-led DCEU movie easily won first place among its weekend competitors, but it lost by a landslide when put up against the rest of the DCEU films.

Birds of Prey’s $33 million crushed the $12 million total of second place Bad Boys for Life. The rest of the top five was rounded out by 1917 ($9 million), Dolittle ($7 million), and Jumanji: The Next Level ($6 million). Globally, the movie brought in just over $60 million. Shazam! currently held the title of lowest DCEU opening with $53 million, while Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice holds the top spot with a $166 million opening weekend.

Birds of Prey stars Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn. The movie explores the character’s “emancipation” following her break up with the infamous Joker. Other stars include Jurnee Smollett-Bell as Black Canary, Rosie Perez as Renee Montoya, Mary Elizabeth Winstead as Huntress, and Ewan McGregor as Roman Sionis.

Despite its disappointing box office performance, Birds of Prey has received rave reviews from critics and fans alike. The movie currently sits at an 80% rating on Rotten Tomatoes with an 83% audience score.
