I have good and bad news for you. The good news is you have one less game to play in an already packed fall release schedule. The bad news is the game pushed back is Bioshock Infinite.

Publisher 2K Games announced today that Bioshock Infinte will be delayed into 2013.

The highly-anticipated title is now scheduled to launch worldwide February 26, 2013. Bioshock Infinite was previously scheduled for October 16.

“When we announced the release date of BioShock Infinite in March, we felt pretty good about the timing,” said creative director Ken Levine in a post on Irrational Games’ website. “Since then, we’ve uncovered opportunities to make Infinite into something even more extraordinary. Therefore, to give our talented team the time they need to deliver the best Infinite possible, we’ve decided to move the game’s release to February.”

Levine also announced the game will not be present at this year’s E3 so that “the next time you see our game, it will be essentially the product we intend to put in the box.”
