Could Big Little Lies season 2 be hitting HBO just in time for summer? It’s definitely a possibility!

HBO hasn’t let Big Little Lies fans in on when they can expect new episodes of the hit limited series to premiere, but thanks to actress Nicole Kidman, we’ve now got a better idea of when we might be able to expect season 2 to hit the small screen.

The Wrap reports that Kidman dropped a major hint with regards to when season 2 will hit HBO during CNN’s annual New Year’s Eve broadcast hosted by Anderson Cooper and Andy Cohen.

The actress, who swung by the live broadcast with her husband Keith Urban, revealed to the hosts that Big Little Lies season 2 could be premiering on HBO sometime in June.

“June, I think. We’re looking at June,” Kidman told Cohen according to The Wrap. “We’re still in the midst of editing it, but, um, thanks for asking [because] we’re glad that people are excited about it.”

It should be noted that HBO has yet to confirm the season premiere info Kidman dropped. With that in mind, we’ll have to wait and see what the premium cable network has to say about things before we get to marking our calendars.

The highly anticipated second season will find Kidman along with other principle cast members Reese Witherspoon, Shailene Woodley, Laura Dern, Zoe Kravitz, Adam Scott, and Alexander Skarsgard all returning to reprise their roles.

Additionally, Academy Award winner Meryl Streep has also joined the cast of the HBO series’ second season. She’ll be playing Kidman’s in-law, who comes into town to look in on her grandchildren.

We can’t wait to see how Streep fits into the folds of the story!
