After last nights shocking finale, Eye Candy’s executive producer is teasing a big conspiracy for season 2.
Season 1 of Eye Candy came to a close last night and although many questions were resolved, many were left in their place. Notably, the shocking twist that Sara has been trying to protect Lindy all along.
When Eye Candy executive producer Christian Taylor spoke with TV Line about the major reveal he said, “There’s going to be a big conspiracy that we’ll explore next season about why her sister did that. And I’ll say one thing: It will be linked to their father.”
Their father you say? Very interesting. Throughout the season we’ve only learned a few details about Mr. Sampson or what he was like. But one thing was clear, his relationship with Lindy has become extremely strained.
Another question that many were left wondering about was the status of Lindy’s close relationships, especially the one with Tommy. “They’re definitely still at odds,” Taylor shared. “There’s an olive branch that’s been extended to him, and it’s one of my favorite scenes when he says, ‘I’m sorry’ to her at the end. It’s really moving. I’m excited to explore their relationship if we get a second season.” But when asked if the two will ever get together romantically he simply said, “I don’t know.”
Well, keep hope alive shippers, because unfortunately we’re still waiting to hear whether or not the show has been renewed for a second season.
Since its debut Eye Candy has been struggling to pull in substantial ratings and the lackluster performance is likely to play a significant role in whether MTV decides to invest in a season 2.
