Big Brother season 16, episode 8 just finished airing and the second eviction has been revealed! Read our recap to find out what happened.

The episode picks up right where the last left off at the Power of Veto meeting. Brittany announces to the house that Paola threw the competition. To defend herself, Paola attacks Devin and says that he’s not a good person. She admits that Devin asked her to throw the competition. However, she says that she did not throw it. When Devin tries to defend himself she blows up in his face. Zach speaks up and tells the group that Devin doesn’t have an ounce of truth. He says that the house should be going after him and Paola agrees.

Everyone leaves the meeting rattled especially the Bomb Squad. Amber thinks that Zach’s actions may be his downfall while Cody is annoyed that Devin already went against the alliance. Frankie doesn’t understand why Zach attacked Devin in front of everyone.

In the ice room Frankie confronts Zach about the meeting. He says that now everyone won’t trust him based on what Zach said. While Zach says that their friendship doesn’t have to change Frankie feels betrayed. Now Zach is worried that he’s broken ties.

Later in the yard Paola and Zach talk about who will get voted out. It quickly turns into a shouting match and Zach calls Paola out for lying about throwing the competition.

As Devin and Caleb strategize about the eviction they feel that Zach will be voted out as they want. But Devin wants to bring in another player to replace Zach and feels that Hayden might be the one. So they call him up to the HoH and tell him about the alliance. Although Hayden says he wants to join he isn’t actually interested in working with them. Rather he sees this as a chance to break it up.

Derrick tells Zach that he needs to keep a cool head or else he could be sent home. He also tells him to make sure and thank those who plan on saving him. When Derrick meets up with Team America later they talk about who they should vote to keep. They seem to like the idea of keeping Zach to keep him on as Devin’s target. So Derrick checks in with Caleb and throws out the idea that Paola isn’t to be trusted. Caleb sees his point and agrees that keeping Zach would mean everyone else would be safer.

Frankie decides to talk to Devin and tell him that it looks like Zach is staying. When he says that Caleb wants to keep Zach in the house and the alliance Devin is shocked. He immediately says that he no longer wants to be a part of the alliance. Devin promises to pick off everyone one by one.

At the eviction meeting Paola tells the house that she should stay because she’s a positive person. She also says that Devin has five personalities and sucks. Zach thanks his family for making him the person he is and says that if they save him he will do everything he can to get Devin out of the house.
