Big Brother season 16, episode 7 just finished airing and the winner of the power of veto has been revealed! Read our recap to find out what happened.

Devin is pleased that Paola threw the competition and considers himself the Big Brother puppet master. Meanwhile, Amber is a little worried now that she’s no longer HoH.

Now that Brittany is still up for eviction, she thinks she’s going home. Paola admits to Hayden and Devin she purposely lost the game. Hayden gets weirded out when Devin makes him promises. Nicole and Hayden decide that if it leaks Paola threw the game they will deny being involved. They don’t want anyone thinking they’re linked with Devin.

It looks like there’s trouble in paradise. Zach, Cody, Derrick, and Christine are sick of Devin’s antics. They don’t want to send Brittany home and do his dirty work. Caleb talks to Christine and Amber to see where their heads are. They’re not sure whether to listen to Devin or not. Derrick comes in and sways them into thinking Devin is becoming a problem. Caleb vows to keep Amber safe no matter what.

Caleb confronts Devin about the nominations. He doesn’t like that it was chosen for a personal reason. He tells Devin that the alliance doesn’t want to vote Brittany out. Devin is not amused. When the guys tell him the girls are scared of him he doesn’t believe them. So Devin goes off and starts talking to himself…

When Devin returns to the yard he confronts Caleb. Before Caleb can get a word in, Devin says the alliance is done.

Team America gains two more members in Frankie and Derrick. In order to meet the other members, they have to use code words: Apple pie and Bald Eagle. This creates a weird conversation about zoo animals and dessert among Frankie, Amber, Caleb and Derrick.

Frankie and Derrick quickly realize they’re a part of Team America. When Donny walks outside, Derrick has a feeling he’s the other member and confirms it with the code words.

Caleb decides to suck it up and apologize to Devin. Devin admits that what set him off was being told he isn’t nice to the girls. Again, Caleb brings up who will be nominated because the others still want to keep Brittany. When Caleb admits that others are talking about nominating Devin, he isn’t surprised.

The rest of the Bomb Squad goes up to the HoH room to hash it out. He wants everyone to get on the same page. He tells them that he wants to get out the strong players like Brittany. Zach says he wants Brittany to stay because he likes her. But no one else speaks up.

Alone with Devin, Zach admits to Devin that he said he wanted him gone but didn’t mean it. Unfortunately, despite Zach thinking it’s better to be honest, Devin doesn’t see it that way.

At the Power of Veto competition, they find out Zach, Derrick, and Amber will join Devin, Brittany, and Paola. As everyone gets ready, Devin affirms to Paola that if he gets POV, he will save her.

The players must hang the 10 planets on different parts of the hangers so that none touch the floor. The first to finish will win POV. It sounds easier than it is and many have problems keeping any on.

Derrick and Devin are close to finishing, but Devin manages to finish moments before Derrick. That means that not only is Devin HoH but also has POV.

After losing the POV competition, Zach decides to suck up to Devin. So Devin tells Zach he doesn’t trust him and dismisses him. When Zach talks to Frankie, he says he should have lied to Devin. But Frankie promises not to screw him over.

Brittany sucks up her ego and goes to talk to Devin. He admits that he sees her as a huge threat. She says she wants one of the parents to win the game. That seems to hit home with Devin and he softens towards her. He asks for her loyalty, which she gives, although she says it’s like making a deal with the devil. He admits to Brittany that he got Paola to throw the competition. She promises not to tell anyone but feels betrayed.

Using his POV, Devin saves Brittany and puts up his own alliance member Zach as a renomination. He says having gotten to know Brittany, he refuses to send a single mother home.

Are you surprised Devin saved Brittany on ‘Big Brother’?
