Big Brother season 16, episode 28 just finished airing and the week 9 Power of Veto has taken place! Read our recap to find out what happened.

Cody says he only nominated Nicole to appease his alliance members and Donny is still the main target. Caleb gets back into conspiracy theories about what Donny’s real job is. They go back to the military theory.

When they’re alone Cody and Derrick discuss replacement nominations. They think Frankie would be a good target if Donny won Power of Veto. They’re sure Frankie would target them if he had the chance.

Donny gets a new Team America mission: they must create their own mission and try to impress America. They have a week to complete the mission before America will vote on their success. When telling Derrick the idea he pitches a mission to keep Team America together – meaning Donny would have to be saved.

Victoria’s face is starting to swell with her wisdom teeth coming in. She complains that she can barely talk. After coming out of the Diary she goes to the bathroom and passes out. Luckily, Nicole is in the room and finds her. Derrick comes to the rescue and production sends in a doctor.

After giving her some oxygen, they move her to the diary room to get treated. Later, she’s given medication and sent back out to rest up. Victoria’s still hopeful that she can compete in competitions.

Alone, Derrick and Frankie discuss the Team America mission. They agree that they shouldn’t save Donny. Frankie thinks he can come up with something else.

When it’s time to pick players for the veto competition, Cody pulls Christine, Nicole pulls Derrick, and Donny pulls Frankie.

Derrick and Donny are having a heart to heart when Frankie interrupts with an idea to throw a play for the mission. Donny tries to pitch his Save Team America idea again. They tell him it’s better to do an easy mission for the money. When he leaves the room, Derrick basically lays the blame on Frankie for not wanting to do the saving mission.

In the Power of Veto competition the house guests must study three different scenes in front of them. They have to guess the correct amount of items in front of them then chose to stay or fold in the game. The first player to win three rounds wins the Power of Veto.

Round 1: Donny wins
Round 2: Cody wins
Round 3: Cody wins
Round 4: Cody wins

Thanks to everyone folding so much, Cody won the Power of Veto. He gets to choose two people for the luxury room and screening of Scorpion. He chooses Nicole and Donny since they are have-nots for the week.

Frankie tries to get the other house guests into throwing a play. They don’t seem very enthused but go along with it. Each house guest is to play an evicted house guest.

Frankie dresses up as Joey. Donny does a pretty good Devin. Caleb tries to be Hayden but it’s an awful impression. Derrick plays an injured Jocasta. Victoria plays Amber and makes fun of her, which annoys Caleb.

Derrick is annoyed that he can’t get any alone time with Cody to talk game. They’re paranoid that they’re going to be targeted by the rest of the group. Cody says he wants Frankie out but they can’t seem to decide if they should do it this week.

At the Veto meeting Cody decides not to use the Power of Veto. He keeps the nominations the same with Nicole and Donny up on the block.
