A promo and stills have been released for The Big Bang Theory season 7, episode 5, previewing couples who just can’t find the right amount of distance.

The Big Bang Theory season 7, episode 5 airs on Oct. 17 on CBS, and new stills and a preview give a glimpse at proximity-specific hijinks ahead.

The official summary for the episode, titled ‘The Workplace Proximity,’ promises closeness – and lack thereof – in store this week.

Sheldon must decide how much “Amy time” is too much after she takes a job at his university. Meanwhile, Howard finds himself sleeping on Raj’s couch after a fight with Bernadette.

It looks like more than one couple is having trouble with personal space this week. The promo for The Big Bang Theory season 7, episode 5 focuses on Sheldon and Amy’s, uh, flourishing connection.

Ever the romantic, that Sheldon. We can’t help but wonder how Amy will react to Sheldon’s response to her new opportunity… though perhaps it won’t be a surprise to her that Sheldon makes it all about himself.

Will Sheldon be able to cope with Amy’s increased closeness? Is Amy okay that her boyfriend is freaking out? Why do Bernadette and Howard fight? What the heck are those glasses for? (Even if the couples reconcile, we suspect that those will not have a happy ending.)

The Big Bang Theory season 7, episode 5, “The Workplace Proximity” will air on Thursday, Oct. 17 at 8 p.m. on CBS.
