BH90210, the sort-of revival of Beverly Hills 90210, has officially taken its final bow. Fox canceled the series after one season.

BH90210 was a unique take on the series revival trend we’ve been seeing a lot of lately. Instead of bringing Beverly Hills 90210 back and catching up with our favorite characters in their adult life, the show followed the actors behind the iconic 90s show (playing heightened versions of themselves) with stories inspired by their real lives.

As Deadline reports, BH90210 was initially slated as a six-episode comedy event series. So even though it was initially advertised as a limited engagement, it was thought by many that the show would continue on for more seasons if it was a big success for the network.

And initially, BH90210 did bring in some big numbers. However, once the newness of the show wore off a bit, the show’s numbers did start to level off.

Additionally, there wasn’t just faux-drama for the cameras. Deadline also reports that there was some drama behind the scenes, as was evidenced by the revolving door of showrunners that BH90210 experienced.

It isn’t expected that BH90210 will be shopped at other networks and streamers. However, that doesn’t necessarily go for the actual show Beverly Hills 90210. 90210 was a pretty massive hit, so it won’t be surprising for that property to continue to be revisited by networks.

However, for now, it seems that the glimpse into the hilariously exaggerated lives of the original 90210 cast is done, and the first season finale will have to serve as a series finale.

Thankfully, there are a couple of places that you can go to get your 90210 fix. The original Beverly Hills 90210 is streaming now on Hulu, or if you haven’t had a chance to watch the “reboot,” you can catch BH90210 on Fox.
