Unsurprisingly, the new Lion King adaptation got Beyonce to record a new single for the film, “Spirit”, and they just released the music video.

Beyonce provides the voice for Nala in Disney’s new “live-action” version of The Lion King. While that meant she sang on some of the flick’s most iconic tunes like “Can You Feel the Love Tonight,” it’s unsurprising that she provided vocals to a brand new song as well.

Her new song, “Spirit,” is absolutely beautiful, and completely shows off Beyonce’s amazing voice. But in the newly released music video, there are so many stunning visuals along with Beyonce’s powerhouse vocals that it will give you total chills. Check out the new music video below.

The song, co-written by Beyonce herself, is so gorgeous, and the beautiful shots of Beyonce with her dancers interspersed with clips from the film work so perfectly. Oftentimes music videos for songs featured in movies have an abrupt jolt from the singer to clips from the movie, but Beyonce and her team made everything work together so seamlessly, you half expect Simba to show up next to the singer. Plus, we’re obsessed with the adorable appearance by her daughter, Blue Ivy.

“Spirit” is one of the new tracks on Beyonce’s curated “inspired by” soundtrack. Similar to the way Kendrick Lamar curated a soundtrack of songs inspired by Black Panther, Beyonce has created a similar project for The Lion King called The Gift. In addition to songs sung by Beyonce herself, there are also tracks by artists like Kendrick Lamar, Childish Gambino, Jay-Z, Pharrell, and even Blue Ivy makes an appearance.

You can check out the music video for “Spirit” now, but thankfully you don’t have to wait too long to snag this amazing album for yourself. You can pick up The Gift when it releases in conjunction with The Lion King on July 18.
