Beyonce shares her vulnerable side in the first trailer for her upcoming HBO documentary.

Opening with a close up of half of the singer’s face, the teaser shows flashes of raw footage from Queen Bey’s personal life – her childhood and pregnancy included.

“I always struggle with how much do I reveal about myself,” she says in the 25-second trailer for her upcoming documentary – an appropriate tease for what HBO promises to be an intimate look at the star’s life.

Directed and produced by Beyonce herself, the documentary will give fans an inside look at the 31-year-old singer’s childhood in Houston, Texas and her personal life as a working mother.

“HBO has a history of pushing every boundary with class and authenticity,” Beyoncé said in a statement announcing the documentary last month. “Some of my favorite shows are on HBO, so I am excited that my film will be part of its bold programming. This film was so personal to me, it had to have the right home.”

The former Destiny’s Child star will perform during the Super Bowl XLVII half time show on CBS Feb. 3. She’ll follow in the footsteps of Michael Jackson (1993), Paul McCartney (2005), Madonna (2012) and many more.
