Last night during AMC’s Breaking Bad marathon affectionally titled the Breaking Bad Binge, the first teaser for Better Call Saul debuted.

The ever-so-short promo depicts Saul (or should we say Jimmy McGill?) meeting with a client and apparently trying to convince them that they need a lawyer.

“Lawyers,” he says to at least two people sitting across from him at a table, “We’re like health insurance. You hope you never need it, but man oh man, not having it? No.”

Saul, played by Bob Odenkirk, is looking a little younger than he did during his run on Breaking Bad, so presumably this scene is from one of the episodes that takes place before the lawyer meets Walter White.

The other news that comes out of this trailer is that Better Call Saul will be premiering in February. Until yesterday we had only known that the show was going to kick off in “early 2015.”

Better Call Saul co-stars Jonathan Banks, Michael McKean, Rhea Seehorn, Patrick Fabian, and Michael Mando.

AMC’s Breaking Bad Binge runs now through October and lets viewers enjoy the complete series starring Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul in chronological order.

Last night’s marathon episodes were from season 1, which don’t include Saul in the story line. The network must think that the majority of marathon viewers are people who have already seen the series, because last night’s episodes weren’t the best to run the first Saul promo with (“Who’s this guy with the desperate punch lines?” newbies may be asking).
