Better Call Saul dropped the trailer for its upcoming fifth season, giving fans their first look at everyone’s favorite DEA agent, Hank Schrader.

It’s been a long 16 month wait for fans of Better Call Saul, but the fifth season of the Breaking Bad prequel show is finally here.

Well, almost here, at least.

The show dropped a trailer for its upcoming fifth season ahead of its February 23 premiere date, treating fans to 90 seconds filled with all their favorite characters and previewing more of the transformation of Bob Odenkirk’s Jimmy McGill into the Saul Goodman with whom Breaking Bad fans are so familiar.

Check out the trailer below!

Better Call Saul was recently renewed for a sixth and final season ahead of the season five premiere, so fans can at least rest easy this season knowing that whatever twists, turns and cliffhangers are thrown at them will at least be addressed — and likely resolved — in the show’s final season.

When speaking about season 5 of Better Call Saul during last month’s 2020 Winter Television Critics Association Press Tour, series lead Bob Odenkirk stated that season 5 of the show would “go faster” and that “more happens. It’s a bigger season. The snowball is coming down the mountain and it’s breaking up.”

Series co-creator Peter Gould added to Odenkirk’s description, saying that “I’d say this season, where it goes, is a little more kinetic. There are scenes that are certainly as violent as anything we had on Breaking Bad.”

Another thing that fans can look forward to? The return of Dean Norris’ Hank Schrader, who is shown in the season 5 trailer above. The character met his untimely end in Breaking Bad’s final season, but will be featured in Better Call Saul for a pair of episodes, according to co-creators Peter Gould and Vince Gilligan.

Better Call Saul season 5 premieres Sunday, February 23 at 10 p.m. on AMC, with the second episode of the season then airing in its regular Monday-at-9 p.m. slot on February 24.
