Good news for Breaking Bad fans — AMC announced on Thursday that it has already picked up a second season of spinoff series Better Call Saul, set to debut in early 2015.

News of the network picking up Better Call Saul came hot off the heels of AMC also releasing a first look photo of the upcoming Breaking Bad spinoff (featured above).

The upcoming series stars Bob Odenkirk as smarmy lawyer Saul Goodman, who fans were first introduced to in Breaking Bad. Production for season 1 of the new series has already begun filming in New Mexico and is set for 10 episodes total. The second season for the show is set to be released sometime in early 2016 and will reportedly run a total of 13 episodes.

AMC President Charlie Collier spoke of the news in a press release saying, “Production on Better Call Saul is underway and we could not be more proud nor more excited about the work to date. We join the fans in eager anticipation for this series and today, we happily confirm that our initial Saul order is for two seasons and a total of 23 episodes.”

Breaking Bad fans will also be happy to note that series creator Vince Gilligan is set to direct the series premiere of Better Call Saul and will additionally serve as co-showrunner along with fellow Breaking Bad writer/producer Peter Gould.
