One of Breaking Bad’s more colorful – or purple-full – characters may be missed when the show ends this summer. But if you love actress Betsy Brandt, you’ll be pleased to know she’ll be hopping over to another network for a comedy role.

Brandt has been cast to play the wife of Michael J. Fox’s character in his new and yet-to-be-titled NBC comedy pilot.

According to TV Line, who broke the story, the show “is inspired by Fox’s real life and stars him as Mike Burnaby, a husband and father of three in New York City juggling the challenges of family and career while dealing with Parkinson’s disease. A former lead anchor for a local station in NY, Mike decides to go back to work after a new medication helps him manage the effects of his illness.”

Brandt will play Annie, his wife of 20 years who gets worked up over the minor things in life. The actress has had smaller roles in television over the past few years: Parenthood and Fairy Legal in 2012, Boston Legal in 2007, and CSI in 2006. Other than playing Marie Chrader on Breaking Bad, this may be her biggest television role to date.

Breaking Bad season six premieres Sunday, July 14 on AMC. The new Fox comedy premieres on NBC this Fall.
