Last night saw the return of Ryan, Jess’ crush and co-worker. So far, she had been successfully tamping down her crush. But that was all challenged when she, Coach, and Ryan attended a teachers conference. Some of the best parts of New Girl season 4, episode 8, “Teachers,” included her fumbling attempts to keep him at arms length.
But that’s not all that we enjoyed on last night’s episode. Who could forget Cece talking about teachers in porn? Or Jess calling Cece to talk her out of falling for Ryan. Except she didn’t actually want Cece’s advice. What Jess wanted was for Cece to read the letter that she slipped into her purse before leaving.
Let’s not leave out the guys either. While celebrating Jess’ absence things got a little crazy after some Sangria. Schmidt spilled his drink and the truth came out that he had no idea how to do laundry. This was where guys night made a turn. Later, it was Nick’s turn to admit that he doesn’t know how to love. And the night got even more emotional.
