Hypable attended the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. PaleyFest panel on Sunday and they gave us some cool info about what’s to come this season. And we have interviews with the cast!

Fitz and Simmons are based off of Ocean’s Eleven characters

Specifically Casey Affleck and Scott Caan’s relationship, actually. The show runners wanted a relationship between two people who have been friends all their life and bicker all the time but have a true, brotherly/sisterly relationship love going on.

Skye: Child of May and Thor

As a joke, Ming-Na mentioned that she would like Skye to be the love child between May and Thor because she’d like to go back and do those flashback scenes with Mr. Chris Hemsworth. Now that would be quite the hot flashback scene!

That’s also when Clark Gregg said he’d rather Skye be the love child between Coulson and Sif. Everyone wants to get with an Asgardian!

7 episodes in a row

The show runners revealed on the red carpet that when the end of the season comes by on April 1 there will be no more breaks, so you can look forward to seven weeks straight of new Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.!

And you’re all strongly encouraged to see Captain America: The Winter Soldier on April 4, as there might be some strong repercussions from the events in that film that cross over into the TV show.

Fitzsimmons is NOT romantic

As if we needed confirmation from earlier in the panel, when asked about the possibilities of Fitz and Simmons getting together Iain De Caestecker mentioned that he thinks they’re definitely more brother and sister than romantic pair. The show runners seemed to agree as well, and we’re totally fine with that decision because it frees Fitz up – more attractive accents for us!

When on the red carpet we were on a mission to ask the cast something they would be able to answer without having to worry about spoilers or having to skirt around to make up an answer.

So that’s why we decided to ask them one simple question: Which villain would you want to see your character take down?

Brett Dalton (Agent Ward): Rhino man

“Oh man. You know in the wizard comic-books they’d have warp of the month, and it’d be a superhero that never really made it? One of those guys. Maybe Rhino man. I can poach him!”

Chloe Bennet (Skye): Loki

“I think Skye would have a really great time playing against Loki, or I would love to see her with Phoenix, although that would be more tough. The sass between [Loki and Skye] would be awesome, I think she’d make fun of his outfit.”

Iain De Caestecker (Fitz): Evil monkey and/or cat

“Fitz can’t [fight], he fights like a girl; not that girls can’t fight but [like a little girl]. Um, I suppose…I don’t know, I like the way that they hooked up with Loki in the Avengers movie. I don’t know, I’d like to take out something like an evil monkey or something, or an evil cat. I can take them out.”

Elizabeth Henstridge (Simmons): Loki

“Oh, I feel like I would love to take Loki on. I’d love to sit down with him and be like ‘Hey, listen. There’s father issues here, there’s identity stuff going on, let’s just talk about it. Let’s have a cup of tea and talk about it.’ She wouldn’t want to take him down, you see, that would be her downfall. She would try to bring him to the light side, so she’d probably end up in some deep…badness.”

Clark Gregg (Coulson): Loki

“I feel like, for all of Loki’s dastardly secrets, Coulson has a righteousness on his side that gives him an edge in conflict. There’s a score to settle with Loki.”

For the show runners, Maurissa Tancharoen and Jed Whedon, we asked a different question. Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. has really grown a huge fan following since its premiere, so we wondered if they expected it to be this big. Their answer:

Tancharoen says, “It sort of had a very big built in audience with the Marvel movies and a lot of eyes were on the show since it was Marvel’s first live action show.” Whedon comes in, saying, “We knew there would be a lot of eyeballs on it so we were just hoping to please the audience.”

We also wondered if the ramifications of Captain America: The Winter Soldier would be shown in season one, to which Whedon answered, “There will be a ripple effect from Captain America very soon afterward, yes.”

And now we’re all waiting for Loki to come into play because seeing him with all of our favorite S.H.I.E.L.D. agents would be amazing!

Would you like to see Loki fight the cast of ‘Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’?
