E.L. James’s Grey hits book store shelves today and is told from Christian Grey’s enigmatic point of view. Naturally, we had to read it to find the hottest moments.

Mild spoiler warning!

Below, find several highlights from the mind of Grey. The book was a little tamer than we expected, but for the hardcore fans who read this series with their sex toys in tow, it should do the trick.

The mind of Christian Grey, which is well-documented in Grey, is not for the faint of heart. His obsession with Anastasia borders on being clinical, and the look into Christian’s childhood including his time spent with Elena is disturbing on so many levels. All in all, Christian Grey is a psychologist’s wet dream.

Grey obviously keeps all the same dialogue found in Fifty Shades of Grey but with a few bonus scenes that were not seen in Ana’s version of the story. Some of the most interesting moments from Christian’s perspective are when he is with Ana and trying to figure out how to give her what she wants and still meet his own needs.

In Fifty Shades of Grey Christian is possessive, arrogant and on occasion cruel. While those traits are still prevalent in Grey, there is a different feel to them because you are in his head instead of Ana’s. The other interesting perspective given in this POV is from Christian’s staff. Through his eyes you can see the people around him noticing a change in his behavior even if he doesn’t want to admit it.

While Grey is in essence a rehash of the story already told, it also brings a fresh look at Christian himself without the filter of Ana’s lust. Christian looks less god-like and more flawed and even more human. This doesn’t change the fact that there is little difference from Fifty Shades of Grey. This book will please die hard fans but doesn’t offer much for the average reader.
