HBO Max has finally shared a few more details with regards to what we can expect from Greg Berlanti’s upcoming ‘Green Lantern’ series.

Future subscribers of HBO Max will have tons of new content to look forward to — one of which includes producer Greg Berlanti’s upcoming take on Green Lantern.

The producer, whose popular Arrow-verse is still going strong over at The CW, will soon be bringing some of that superhero magic to HBO’s forthcoming streaming service.

Now, we’re finally getting a few more details with regards to what we can expect from his next DC comics-inspired series.

During their presentation at this year’s TCA, HBO Max’s head of original content, Sarah Aubrey, gave press in attendance a preview of what to expect from Berlanti’s Green Lantern.

“It’s going to span several decades [and] focus on two stories about Green Lanterns on Earth,” said Aubrey according to Deadline.

In addition, Aubrey also let slip that one of the storylines would take place in space, “going into the Sinestro story.”

Fans of Hal Jordan will undoubtedly be familiar with Sinestro, who was once a member of Green Lantern Corps before ultimately being dishonorably discharged for abusing his power. He also happens to be one of Hal Jordan’s most notable nemeses, so we’ll be excited to see how Berlanti tackles that storyline in the new HBO Max series.

Greg Berlanti, who also co-write the 2011 feature film centered around the superhero in question, was first announced to be spearheading HBO Max’s Green Lantern series in October 2019.

“In what promises to be our biggest DC show ever made, we will be going into space with a Green Lantern television series, but I can’t really reveal any more about that just yet,” said Berlanti at the time.

The new information surrounding the series that was just announced today isn’t much to go off of, but we’re sure it’s bound to make fans looking forward to the series even more excited than they already were!

HBO Max is set to launch Spring 2020, but there’s currently no word on when we can expect Berlanti’s newest superhero series to premiere.
