The “Harlem Shake” meme consists of a person or people acting normal until the pace of the song changes in the middle, at which point everything in the video starts going crazy. The phenomenon swept up the internet earlier this year.

You can see a mash up of several Harlem Shake videos in this one compilation “TL;DR” piece below, organized by this writer’s own brother:

Cumberbatch’s fans, affectionately known as the Cumberbitches, will not be surprised to see that their favorite actor created something as ridiculous as this. Will his all-star power bring back the hype surrounding the Harlem Shake? Or is he a little behind on this one?

Cumberbatch can next be seen in The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug in theaters this December. Just this morning we shared a photo of he and co-star Martin Freeman on the New Zealand-based set taken by director Peter Jackson.

Sherlock series 3, episode 3 is slated to begin filming very soon, and it’s rumored that a premiere date will finally be unveiled once filming wraps (if not at San Diego Comic-Con, where Steven Moffat and Sue Vertue will speak to fans).
