Benedict Cumberbatch steps into the shoes of notable mathematician and scientist, Alan Turing in the first trailer for upcoming drama, The Imitation Game — Watch it below!

Benedict Cumberbatch’s latest cinematic endeavor comes in the form of a biopic. The Sherlock star portrays Alan Turing in this fall’s The Imitation Game — the man who’s ability to help crack the Enigma code during World War II at Bletchley Park turned out to be a vital factor in Germany’s defeat during the war.

The first trailer for the upcoming biopic does a fantastic job of setting up the suspense of the story and additionally, offers a great glimpse of some of the film’s supporting cast. Joining Cumberbatch in the upcoming film are Kiera Knightley (Begin Again), Mark Strong (Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy), Matthew Goode (The Good Wife>), Charles Dance (Game of Thrones), and Rory Kinnear (Penny Dreadful).

The Imitation Game is set to open the BFI London Film Festival on Wednesday, October 8 before opening nationwide in the UK on November 14 and in the US on November 21.
