Pink Floyd’s David Gilmour invited Sherlock actor Benedict Cumberbatch on stage for a rendition of “Comfortably Numb.”

It’s Thursday, we’re tired, the world sucks sometimes. But — if you’re a fan of Benedict Cumberbatch — this should exponentially improve your day.

Former Pink Floyd guitarist David Gilmour was performing at the Royal Albert Hall in London when he invited a fan — concert attendee Benedict Cumberbatch — to join him on stage:

As if Cumberbatch wasn’t perfect enough already, hearing him sing is also an absolute pleasure. We’re sure the lucky audience members were elated to see him perform.

“Comfortably Numb” is a song off Pink Floyd’s 1979 album The Wall. It was written by David Gilmour and bassist Roger Waters, and is renowned for its guitar solos.

When he isn’t crushing the most iconic songs in the world, Benedict Cumberbatch likes to dabble in this thing called acting: He can next be seen in Marvel’s Doctor Strange, and has recently been confirmed for the first half of the Avengers finale, Infinity War.

Cumberbatch voices the terrifying tiger Shere Khan in Andy Serkis’ upcoming Jungle Book adaptation (not to be confused with Disney’s Jungle Book, in which Idris Elba voiced the character), and he’ll also be the voice of the Grinch in the 2018 remake of How the Grinch Stole Christmas.

Sherlock fans will have to wait until 2017 for the next three episodes of the popular series, titled “The Six Thatchers,” “The Lying Detective,” and the untitled final episode.
