Former SNL writer John Mulaney hosted this week along with musical guest Jack White. Check out the hilarious highlights from this week’s episode, featuring cameos by Ben Stiller and Robert DeNiro.

Cold Open with Ben Stiller and Robert DeNiro

This week’s episode of SNL opened with Ben Stiller playing Donald Trump’s personal lawyer Michael Cohen. He was later joined in the sketch with Robert DeNiro playing special counsel Robert Mueller. The two recreated one of the classic scenes from their hit franchise Meet the Parents.

John Mulaney Opening Monologue

John Mulaney used his opening monologue to talk about his past as a writer on SNL. Mulaney took a stand-up approach to his opening monologue like many other comics who have come to host SNL.

Drag Brunch

In the opening sketch of the night, Mulaney played a drag queen who worked as a waitress full of insults. However, for one person at the table, the insults were a little more harsh. The final reveal in the sketch proved to be rather hilarious.

Diner Lobster

In another sketch, Pete Davidson played a character who orders a lobster at a diner, much to the chagrin of the staff and even to his friend. What happens next is a parody of Les Miserables, the long running Broadway musical. It’s a lot easier to just watch the sketch than it is to explain it.

Jack White Performs

Jack White performed two songs during this week’s episode. Check out his performances of “Over and Over and Over” and “Connected by Love” below.

Coming Up on ‘SNL’

It was announced during this week’s episode that Donald Glover will host Saturday Night Live and will serve as the musical guest as the artist Childish Gambino. SNL will take a few weeks off before returning live on May 5.
