Ben Schwartz is officially returning to Showtime!

According to Variety, actor Ben Schwartz has officially signed on to star in an upcoming adaptation of the British series The Wrong Mans.

The premium cable network has a pilot production commitment to the new show which is based off of a BBC series created by Late Late Show host Jame Corden and Matthew Baynton.

Schwartz, who previously appeared in Showtime’s House of Lies, is set to star as one of two male leads in the upcoming single camera action comedy.

The adaptation follows two ordinary office workers whose lives suddenly go from mundane to high stakes after they receive a mysterious phone call stating “If you are not here by 5 o’clock, we will kill your wife.”

Thought a case of mistaken identity is what ultimately puts things in motion, the pair of office workers suddenly find themselves having to figure out how to save themselves, their family, and the town they call home.

Both Corden and Baynton, who created and starred in the original, are returning to work on the adaptation. The pair will be co-writing the Showtime iteration alongside The Simpsons alumn Ian Maxtone-Graham.

Currently there’s no word on who will join Schwartz as his fellow ordinary office worker turned hero in The Wrong Mans. That being said, we’ll be curious to know who else gets cast on the project!
