Welsh actress Erin Richards has landed a role on Merlin, which is currently filming its fifth series.
Richards, best known for playing detective Nancy Reid on Being Human, will play Eira, a new love interest for Gwaine. Actress Poppy Drayton also auditioned for the role.
The news was revealed by Richards herself on Twitter:
