Here’s our first proper look at Disney’s live-action Beauty and the Beast, starring Emma Watson as Belle and Dan Stevens as Beast!

We’ve waited forever for the first full-length trailer for Beauty and the Beast, but now it’s finally arrived! Feast your eyes on all the beauty (and beast):

The trailer begins by showing Belle’s father Maurice (Kevin Kline), who has wandered into the grounds of the Beast’s castle.

We see fragments of the familiar tale, as Belle ventures into the castle — armed only with a stick, bless her — to rescue her father. But Beast demands that she take his place.

What is most chilling about this trailer is the hints of the songs we know and love, including “Beauty and the Beast,” as well as little bits of dialogue from the enchanted furniture played by such incredible talents as Sir Ian McKellen, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Emma Thompson, Stanley Tucci and Ewan McGregor.

The trailer is both epic and action-packed: Among many other things we see Belle fending off the wolves, Luke Evans’ Gaston raising the village pitchforks, Beast and Gaston’s showdown towards the end of the movie, the big dance scene, and of course the most beautiful part of this story: The library. ? (What, did you think I was gonna say romance?)

In fact there’s hardly any part of this story we don’t catch a glimpse of, but that’s totally okay. After all, we know what happens, and what is most exciting about this whole ideal is seeing how the classic animated feature is brought to life with this incredible cast and stunning visual effects.

We didn’t think it was possible to be more excited for Beauty and the Beast than we already were… clearly, we were wrong. Is it 2017 already?!

Beauty and the Beast‘ hits cinemas on March 17, 2017
