A gorgeous new poster for Beauty and the Beast featuring the titular characters has just been released. Check it out now!
The figures in the poster are similar to one of the recently released images from the film which showed Belle dancing with Beast in her golden-yellow ballgown.
Emma Watson shared the poster on her official Facebook page with the caption, “So happy I get to show all of you the new teaser poster for Beauty and the Beast! You are the very first people to see this! I hope you like it. Love, Emma x.”
This looks like a pretty direct homage to the original animated film’s poster, which you can see below:
The background for the live-action movie’s poster doesn’t offer much, but the way in which the light is coming down upon the dancing figures gives it an enchanting and mystical air that works well with the story of Beauty and the Beast.
Recently, we also learned that Belle has a new backstory as an inventor, just like her father Maurice, to explain why she never fit in with other people around town.
