Geek Gifts gets monstrous this week. We’ve got a Beauty and the Beast hair bow and a steampunk Teen Wolf necklace.

Geek Gifts is a weekly feature article written by Donya Abramo and Karen Rought. With every installment, the duo picks out a fandom-related item they’ve recently come across and describes it in loving detail. There are no product placements here. We only talk about items we’re excited to share with the rest of the world.

Your Geek Gifts come in a variety of ways, be it jewelry, clothing, games, or something else entirely. We strive to remain unbiased, and we plan on constantly expanding our own horizons as we search for new and interesting pieces. The only requirement is that it must give us the burning need to open our wallets and throw money at its creator.

It’s a known fact amongst my friends that I have a little bit of a Beauty and the Beast… situation. I may or may not own the movie seven times over — don’t look at me like that — and have a section of my bookcase dedicated to my favorite memorabilia. But I’ve got it under control. Maybe. Possibly.

When it was announced there was going to be a live action movie, I was all at once excited and dreadful. But with a stellar cast behind it, I’m eagerly anticipating this one particular Disney “reboot.”

Unless they do something to seriously mess up the dress. Then we may be done. Professionally.

Anyway, I digress. With the news that Emma Watson has wrapped on the movie breaking recently, I thought a Beauty and the Beast item would be appropriate for Geek Gifts this week. This hair bow is inspired by the Beast from the iconic ballroom scene, and I’m kind of ridiculously in love with it. It captures the character perfectly with just a little fabric, and some artfully placed fur. Being able to transform such an iconic character into a hair accessory and have it be instantly recognizable is an enviable talent, and one I want to throw my money at.

Not into hair bows? It comes in several variations, including a hair tie, headband, and bow tie. It’d suit any Disney fan’s needs perfectly, and is a great way to celebrate the upcoming live action adaption and your love for the classic animated movie.

The Teen Wolf season 5 summer finale aired earlier this week, featuring one of the weirdest and most mysterious villains the show has ever created. The Dread Doctors are a strange combination of steampunk scientist and supernatural fanatic. And they’ll be sticking around for the second half of season 5, too.

Wanderlust Fandom has an amazing array of cool metal jewelry, with Teen Wolf being one of their most represented fandoms. The biggest one is One Direction, which oddly lends itself to this sort of thing.

Even though they’re the bad guys, we just had to choose this Dread Doctor necklace for Geek Gifts. The steampunk vibe instantly makes you think of the Doctors, and it is a great statement piece. We can’t wait to see what else they come up with!
