Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice will feature only one exchange between Batman (Ben Affleck) and Lois Lane (Amy Adams).

The upcoming Batman v Superman has a great task ahead of it: not only does the movie have to balance its scenes between two major, beloved superheroes (so neither can morally win every scene), but rumor has it this movie is tasked with introducing a handful of DC characters soon to lead their own franchises.

Not only will Batman v Superman give us our first look at Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot) and Cyborg (Ray Fisher), but we’ll allegedly also see Aquaman (Jason Momoa) and Suicide Squad‘s Amanda Waller (Viola Davis) pop up.

Unsurprisingly, this leaves little time for non-superhero characters like Lois Lane, played by Amy Adams. From everything we’ve heard so far, it looks like her character will be very much sidelined in this film, which is a shame.

In fact, the character only has one scene with Ben Affleck’s Batman in the entire film (if it doesn’t get cut, of course). Speaking to the Press Association, Adams praises Affleck’s work in the role.

“He’s got a wonderful quality and a great body of work,” Adams says. “I was only in one scene with him; I think I’m allowed to say that. So, I didn’t get to see much, but what I saw was fantastic.”

That’s good news considering the mixed reactions to Affleck’s casting (#NotMyBatman, anyone?).

Adams also briefly talks about working with Gal Gadot and reuniting with the Superman cast, saying, “I had a wholly positive experience. Teaming up with Zack [Snyder], Henry [Cavill], and Laurence Fishburne again is so much fun. I like playing Lois; it’s a real privilege for me.”

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice hits cinemas on March 25, 2016.
