In the first set photo from Batman v Superman featuring Henry Cavill in his suit, we see that Superman’s colors appear to be more vibrant than in Man of Steel.

We’ve yet to see Ben Affleck on set in his Batsuit, but now we’ve gotten our first look at Henry Cavill as Superman in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.

Check out the first image of Henry Cavill wearing Superman’s new(ish) suit on set while filming in Detroit (via MTV):

Not much has changed, obviously, but we do notice that the suit seems much brighter than in Man of Steel.

Now this could be the fact that it’s yet to have director Zack Snyder’s favorite Instagram filter applied to it, or it could mean that we’ll be getting more of a nod to the previous Superman suits. But more than likely it will appear darker in the film.

Fans may also notice that there seems to be more muscle definition painted onto the suit, which is interesting, as his suit should remain unchanged from the first film considering he found it in an ancient spacecraft from his home planet.

It’s exciting that we’re getting our first looks at Batman v Superman as the actors continue filming on location in Detroit.

Ben Affleck was finally seen on set recently, and while he wasn’t wearing the Batsuit he was sporting some gray hair. This confirms reports that he will be playing an older, more grizzled Batman.

In related Batman v Superman news, we’ve seen actor Scoot McNairy on set with some very green socks. Reports suggest that he will be playing The Flash in the film and this would add yet another superhero to the mix.

Batman v Superman’s release date is set for March 25, 2016. Man of Steel actor Henry Cavill will return along with Amy Adams as Lois Lane, with Ben Affleck taking on the role of Batman.
