The new Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice trailer has just been released online. Watch as the two superheroes face off in a destructive battle against the film’s villain.
Monday night we got a short look at this exciting new trailer for Batman v Superman, and after premiering on Jimmy Kimmel Live Wednesday night, the official trailer has been released online. Watch Batman and Superman battle a new villain in the movie’s new trailer below:
The new trailer shows us loads of new footage, with Clark Kent speaking to Bruce Wayne on a red carpet. They’re interrupted by Lex Luthor, played by Jesse Eisenberg, who we see manipulating Batman and Superman into fighting, and then we see the film’s villain, Doomsday.
Wonder Woman shows up as the two see Doomsday bust in during their massive battle, and each one wonders who she came with. It’s a pretty comical scene for a film which has been very dark and brooding thus far. Doomsday looks like he may be created with Zod’s body, or possibly his DNA, as he’s seen being wheeled into a room with Lex and scientists.
On Monday we saw Superman rip off Batman’s mask to reveal Bruce Wayne for the first time. There are a lot of fans who believe this will be a nightmare scene that Bruce Wayne will have in the film, helping him turn against Superman.
But it looks like they’ll have to work together with Wonder Woman to fight Doomsday at some point in the film, as well as whatever else Lex Luthor comes up with in his evil plan to destroy the superheroes.
Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice’s release date is set for March 25, 2016. Man of Steel actor Henry Cavill will return to co-star with Ben Affleck as Batman, and Amy Adams as Lois Lane.
We expect to see loads of promotion in the coming weeks after Star Wars: The Force Awakens finishes its inevitable reign at the box office over the next few months.
