Filming on Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is underway in Detroit and our first video of Ben Affleck as Bruce Wayne has appeared online.

Since director Zack Snyder likes to film a majority of his movies in real locations, we’re bound to get loads of set images and videos being released on a daily basis while Batman v Superman is in production.

This can sometimes be a curse for the filmmaker and studio, since it shows raw/unfinished footage, but today we get our first look at Ben Affleck as Bruce Wayne in the set video below (start at 54 seconds in):

It seems Bruce Wayne is making his way through wreckage, which could be from Man of Steel’s final battle sequence, or it could be new destruction that happens in the sequel.

In terms of his look, it’s not anything extraordinary, but we do see a bit of grey hair on each side of Affleck’s head. This goes in line with the idea that Batman will be this reportedly older, scruffier, Batman than we’ve become accustomed to seeing in The Dark Knight trilogy.

While the video isn’t that exciting, it’s fun to see Affleck on location filming Batman v Superman considering there’s still quite a bit of mystery around what the film will be about.

A new official look at Ben Affleck as Batman was released during Comic-Con recently and the first footage from Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice premiered during Warner Bros. Hall H panel. The footage was incredibly exciting, albeit short, but if you missed it be sure to read our description from our extensive SDCC coverage.

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice’s release date is set for May 6, 2016. Man of Steel actor Henry Cavill will return along with Amy Adams as Lois Lane.
