In today’s video gaming roundup, we get a trailer for Game Informer’s Batman: Arkham Origins coverage, a public vote crowns EA, publishers behind The Sims, Battlefield and Crysis as the worst company in America, and an exploit found by hackers causes Uplay to disable PC downloads.

A prequel to the acclaimed title Batman: Arkham City, we’ve known about Arkham Origins for a while, but now we get to see a trailer, courtesy of Game Informer, which shows us what new developers Warner Bros. Games Montreal are planning on doing with this IP.

Expect more Batman: Arkham Origins news to be released during this month.

Arkham Origins is set to release on October 25, 2013 on PC, PS3, Xbox 360 and Wii U, with a spin-off game, Arkham Origins Blackgate, heading to the PSVita and Nintendo 3DS.

For the second year running, EA has been awarded (or perhaps more accurately, been burdened with) the title of ‘Worst Company in America’ by readers of the Consumerist.

EA fought off competition from Bank of America in the final round, taking 77.5% of the vote, having already been voted a worse company than everyone’s favourite ticket provider, Ticketmaster, in the semi-final. That’s two consecutive ‘Golden Poos’ for EA.

The Consumerist calls them out on selling overpriced, rushed games with features that consumers simply don’t want.

EA responded by saying “we can do better.”

Ubisoft’s digital distribution service Uplay has been the victim of hackers, who found an exploit allowing Uplay titles to be downloaded for free, whilst overcoming the software’s security system. By tricking Uplay into thinking that the user already owns the game, hackers were able to download titles, including the unreleased Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon, free of charge.

Ubisoft has disabled PC downloads through Uplay but assure Uplay users that “no personal information has been compromised.
